Sciatica is a relatively common problem associated with back pain. Sciatica is caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve or nerve roots. The sciatic nerve originates from the spinal cord and runs down the leg, where it can be compressed or ‘’trapped’’.
Symptoms of sciatica:
– Pins and needles and tingling in the buttock pack the leg, back of the calves and foot.
– Radiating sharp pain in the leg.
– Server back or leg pain with difficulty walking.
